Anniversary Present for Zhaf & Ali

I totally forgot about this one! I don't even have a good photo of it! Hopefully after Zhaf framed it, she can share a nice photo with me ;)

It took me months to complete this one! I didn't even have time to frame it. But since their anniversary is coming up, I hope they don't mind ;)

Zhaf and Ali had their wedding in Tawau, Sabah last year. That was the first time I've ever been to Sabah and it was a wonderful trip!

Gerberas by DMC (Progress #3)

It's early June and I've completed a quarter of my project. This means I'm wayyyy behind schedule :( I completed a quarter in a month, means I can complete the whole project in another 2-3 months!! Oh well, I think I should stick to smaller projects next time...

The special thing about this project is that this is the first time I used 3 strands instead of 2 strands for the whole stitch. For the half stitch, I used 2 strands. I used 3 strands because the lady from Haby & Wools at Ampang Park said that the end result will look better. However, when Awin and Aishah went to my house several weeks back, we compared the difference between using 2, 3 and 4 strands (Awin used 4 strands for her Minnie Mouse Kit project). Honestly, it's not that different! Owh, we're using 14-count Aida for our projects.

But looking at the work closely, I guess using 3 strands makes the picture look "fuller" somewhat...

Gerberas by DMC (Progress #2)

Here's a photo of the project that I've been working on. It's been slow because I've been busy lately. So most probably I won't be able to finish it by the end of next month :( We'll see how it goes...

Shazuin's Minnie Mouse Kit

Awin tried her hands on cross stitching when she came to my house a few months ago. She helped me with my New York Silhouette project, which is a simple project using only one color (black) against beige Aida. She liked it so much that I decided to present her with a Minnie Mouse Cross Stitch Kit for her birthday!

Here are some of her progress:

Okay, you can't see any shape yet...

Owh, it's a bow!

I see a face without eyes...

Eyes! Pretty eyes!!

Almost finished now...

Oh well, that's her progress so far. She's too busy to complete the whole thing for now. But not bad rite? ;)

Wedding Present for my Best Bud

This is a project that I completed in 2 weeks only! It was meant as a wedding gift for my best friend Jihan's wedding last month. However, the framing took forever so I haven't gotten the chance to present the gift to the blushing bride. I hope she likes it!

This is a close up of the border; I did it in 5 colors, which I think is pretty ;)

Gerberas by DMC

Currently, I'm working on a project for a friend of mine. She chose this pattern because she wanted to match the yellow with her living room theme. I'm estimating that I will finish this project before the end of next month ;)
